ABOUT ME

Jens Verduyckt, aka whosjenz, is a self-taught sports photographer with a strong focus on track and field, based in Zele and Ghent, Belgium. 

My work is driven by a deep appreciation for movement, energy, and the stories behind every athlete. While I began with athletics, I'm now expanding into other sports and experimenting with new visual styles and setups that push my creative boundaries.

I shoot primarily with digital cameras, but recently I've been exploring the slowed-down feel of film photography. My photos truly come alive through intensive editing - a key part of my process where I bring out mood, motion, and detail to create contrasting and colorful imagery.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of athletes and organizations, including Pieter-Jan Hannes, Athletics NXT, AVLO, and the Jogclub podcast. Every collaboration challenges me to evolve and refine my storytelling. I’m always looking for new ways to capture sport in its most human, powerful, and emotional form.
